Pelican Preparing New CD & DVD Releases

Pelican are in the process of putting the finishing touches on their upcoming full-length, City of Echoes. The album was recorded at Steve Albini's Electrical Audio Studio with Andrew Schneider (Keelhaul, Cave In) and is in the final mixing stages with a May 22nd release date set through Hydra Head Records. The band will also be releasing After the Ceiling Cracked, a live DVD/ 3" CD/12", in mid-2007. The live DVD features a headlining show in London with Justin Broadrick of Jesu mixing sound and Michael Ward of Muckspreader directing. The release will also contain photos and extra footage of the band from the past five years. Joining the DVD will be a 3" CD that features "Pink Mammoth," a reworked version of the song "Mammoth" from their debut EP, and a remix by electronic artist Prefuse 73. The 12" will be the vinyl version of those two cuts.

Blur Reunion A No Go
