Xiu Xiu on Body Stuff

Posted in MP3s on May 1, 2020

Jamie Stewart of Xiu Xiu has remixed the song "New York in the Rain" from Body Stuff's recently released EP Body Stuff 3 (released in January on The Chain).

Body Stuff is a Curran Reynolds-driven experimental punk project. Excited to work with Stewart, Reynolds speaks of the project and also the song's meaning and why this new release is important to him:

It's been an honor to collab with Jamie on this. I have lived in NYC since the late '90s and I wrote 'New York in the Rain' about my life here, looking back on 20 years of high highs and low lows. Now here we are in this new crisis and NYC has been hit hard. I dedicate this new version of "New York in the Rain" to all the people of NYC.

Check out both a stream of the remix and the original below. The remix is available at bandcamp.
