Minus The Bear Detail Album / Tourdates

Posted in Bands on March 22, 2007

Minus the Bear bassist Cory Murchy recently provided an update on the status of the band's forthcoming full-length, Planet of Ice, which is due out August 21st on Suicide Squeeze Records. Here is what he had to say:
Greetings and salutations from the land of ice and digital recording! After holing up for a little over two months in various studios around Seattle, we're happy to say we are in the final stages of completion with our new disc, Planet of Ice. We've survived several emergency room visits (where some bones were set, wounds stitched up and most recently i.v. fluids administered to help out a bad case of food poisoning) and managed to knock out a record that we are all brimming to the gills with glee about. We've just begun the mixing process and couldn't be happier with the results. "Ice Monster" is a song we played quite a bit on the last tour and it's turning out quite nicely. It's has a lot of percussion and things that sound all pretty like. Another song we're excited about is a filthy little ditty called "White Mystery". It's so icy it'll make you sweat. We are extremely excited to hit the road in April once the record is completed! There will be lots of surprises to look forward to so make sure you come out and say hi if we're in your neck of the woods. If you live someplace we aren't coming to on this run, don't fret! We will be out in full force after the record comes out in August. Be good and we'll see you soon.
In other news, Minus the Bear has announced a headlining tour with support from The Honorary Title and Chin Up Chin Up. Dates can be found by clicking "read more."
