Meet Lesotho

Posted in Records on March 25, 2023

Lesotho first formed in 2020, following with a 2021 EP called Summer Wars.

Now the band is back, preparing a full-length album called Through the Dying Light, out on April 7 digitally, with a limited cassette in the works.

The album has 10 songs overall, including "Crown of Echoes," which debuted at Echoes and Dust this week.

"Ironically enough, this is actually kind of an older song for us," says Cliff Cazeau. "We originally had finished composing it and locking in all the parts right before our sessions to record our EP, Summer Wars. We even recorded it live as a special introduction for the live performance we did to accompany that record. After sitting on it for a bit, we ended up taking it back to The Bridge for the TTDL sessions and somehow made what was already one of our particularly heavy songs somehow even heavier. We love playing this one live and we all definitely feel like it captures a lot of the dynamics of what our sound has evolved into with this album. Heavy. Quiet. Dark. Feels.”
