SPB exclusive: Music Fests Here, Volume 1 (compilation)

Posted in Records on April 2, 2023

It's April and, no fooling, we have a new featured stream. This time it's a compilation of bands who will be performing at Music Fests Here, a New York City music festival taking place April 30. A few of the many featured artists include Neckscars, Totally Slow, Celebration Summer, Wolves & Wolves & Wolves & Wolves, and Goddamnit.

The compilation comes courtesy of Hidden Home Records, formed in 2015 Boise, ID and now based in NYC.

Hidden Home adds:

This compilation is to promote and celebrate Music Fests Here, a punk rock festival thrown by Music Dies Here in New York City. Music Dies Here is a webzine founded by Maaike and Marcus Simmons, two NY scene regulars who tend to share their unfiltered conversations online about your best friends' bands. The two of them, with their friend and additional MDH writer James Rundle of Something Bitter, have been a large part of weaving the modern punk rock scene in New York City together, even bringing out-of-towner bands they know from their years of international punk participation. If you're interested in what shows are happening in New York City, subscribe to their Google Calendar at the bottom of their home page.
