Alkaline Trio drummer Derek Grant has announced plans to release his debut solo album Breakdown on January 20, 2015 via Red Scare Industries. The album was recorded on a laptop in motel rooms and friends' houses across the US. Breakdown was written while Grant was going through a divorce and dealing with substance abuse issues, which prompted the name of the album. The 8-track album can be pre-ordered through Interpunk, and was largely written during 2008/09.
