Wonk Unit: Good Good Glad To Hear It

Posted in Records on October 5, 2024

Wonk Unit is preparing the release of their ninth studio album, titled Good Good Glad To Hear It and coming out on Dec. 6.

on Pirates press Records. The band was founded roughly 25 years ago by Alex Wonk, inspired by the concept of addiction journals in a rehab session.

“Rapidly Declining Dignity” is the first single from the new record and it goes back to the source. “The song is about me, 25 years ago. My life was fucked, I was dying, I had no soul. I didn’t care. The universe stepped in and here I am. It’s a sad, depressing song about addiction.” Yet ultimately, it is a song that could only be written by someone who survived to share the story," Alex says in a statement from the label.

Preorders are available now.
