Polyvinyl Record Co. came together during the pandemic with a new type of compilation. Titled Exquisite Corpse, the 11-track compilation features 47 of athe label's artists, each grouped into new "bands" via a random name draw.
After being selected, a musician would contribute to a song, then pass it to the next in line. Each song and collection of artists is unique, with contributions from members of The Get Up Kids, Rainer Maria, American Football, Jeff Rosenstock, Braid, Matt Pond, Chris Farren, Ladyhawke, and more). Exquisite Corpse is available now digitally, with a physical release slated for Dec. 18. Two dollars from each sale will be donated to MusiCares non-profit organization.
