Southern Lord Records has added North Carolina/Virginia instrumental metal band Loincloth to their roster. Loincloth features ex-Confessor members Stever Shelton and Cary Rowells and will release their debut, Iron Balls of Steel, on Jan. 17, 2012. Two songs from the band's demo, back in 2003, appeared as a part of Southern Lord's 7" of Doom series.
Blog Exploding in Sound has taken the leap into label-hood, with plans to release an album from Boston post-punk trio PILE. The band will enter the studio in Spring of 2012 to record a follow-up to 2010's Magic Isn't Real. PILE will be on tour this winter. Read more PILE … Read more
