HIM Premiere New Track!
HIM Premiere New Track!

HIM are releasing Tears on Tape on April 30th via their new label, Razor & Tie and whilst the Finnish group have been away for quite some time (and not without very good reason), the years between their last record and this new effort has only served to complete their sound. We're pretty excited about new HIM material, and we'll have a review for the new record coming up at the end of the month. For now though, whet your appetite with the title track which is streaming exclusively via Noisecreep right now!

If that still isn't enough, Metal Hammer in the UK are releasing a special edition magazine that has a copy of the album along with a band-edited magazine dedicated to their history and the making of Tears on Tape. Pretty darn cool eh?

XX: Two Decades of Love Metal
The End (2012)

Whatever you may think about HIM – joke band, has-beens, rip-off merchants and so on and so on – it’s hard to deny the very essence of their hard rocking joy. XX: Two Decades of Love Metal compiles nearly twenty (twenty!) years of the Fin’s self-branded love metal and it’s clear that their passion and whole-hearted belief in their woe-filled … Read more

Dark Light
Warner Bros. (2005)

HIM is known as the biggest musical joke of our generation and is bashed frequently by message board elitists everywhere. Are they really that bad? It depends. Listening to HIM's new album, Dark Light, is not a good way to introduce oneself to this Nordic phenomenon. I'd recommend going back to the beginning, eight years ago, when Greatest Love Songs … Read more

Kyle Shutt (The Sword) SPB: How did you choose your weapons in the NES-inspired “Used Future” video? Kyle: Creating that video was a really fun experience. I came up with the story and Bryan (Richie, The Sword’s bassist) called up a friend we had at Rooster Teeth, who brought the … Read more
