Armstrongs (w/ Rancid and Green Day)

Posted by Loren on July 14, 2017

A new single has been released by Armstrongs, a group comprised of non-relatives Tim (Operation Ivy/Rancid/Transplants), Billie Joe (Green Day), Joey (SWMRS), and Rey Armstrong. "If There Was Ever A Time" is being released on a limited pressing flexi-disc to raise funds for 924 Gilman, a DIY all ages venue in Berkely, California.

"It was exciting to work on this song with Billie and crew for the film. Stoked to share the tune with everyone out there and to be donating all the proceeds to Gilman which is a place so near, dear and important to us," Tim Armstrong says of the project.

Rancid released Trouble Maker last month and is currently on tour with Dropkick Murphys, Bouncing Souls, and Jake Burns.

Mostly it just makes me feel old, which is also how their last album, (the disappointing) Honor Is All We … Read more

Honor Is All We Know
Epitaph (2014)

For years I was the biggest Rancid fan. The first record I didn’t buy on its release date was B-Sides & C-Sides, and that’s because I already had the songs. I was an unapologetic completest. As the post-2000 records have been coming, I became an apologetic completest. I bought the double album version of Let the Dominoes Fall and spun … Read more
