Two separate, but equally entertaining stories for you here involving a couple of punk bands starting "near riots" at recent performances. First up, Fucked Up was politely asked to leave after causing riot-like conditions at a festival performance at SUNY Purchase over the weekend. The band attempted to perform their set but the crowd became a bit too volatile for security to handle, not to mention a safety barrier was knocked down by a certain frontman. Thus, the band's set was cut short and they were asked to leave the campus. You can read the full story here. Secondly, Pennywise had a recent gig at a Grand Prix event in Long Beach, CA ended after fans became unruly when they were denied access to the sold out event.
