The Living resurfaces after 39 years

On April 16, Lossegroove Records will release The Living: 1982, a debut recording from the Seattle punk band known for featuring a 17 year-old Duff McKagan (Guns N Roses) on guitar, vocalist John Conte, Todd Fleischman on bass, and Greg Gilmore (Mother Love Bone) on drums.

Gilmore determined to release the recordings, as Loosegrove was a natural fit as the imprint label is run by local, long-time Seattle Stone Gossard (Pearl Jam) and Regan Hagar (Satchel, Brad), and recent relaunced in September 2020.

 “The Living was the beginning of all things Seattle for me --a turning point in my life. I joined a band and a community. These guys are still my brothers. I've cherished these recordings since the days we made them. This record is a fantastic document of a loaded moment. I love it," Gilmore says of the nearly 40 year-old music.

All seven songs were written by McKagan and the album will be available digitally and on vinyl.
