Here Comes A Replacements Tribute
v/a - Let The Bad Times Roll, A Tribute To The Replacements

Mikey Erg, Jon Snodgrass, Timeshares, Sammy Kay, and Celebration Summer are just a few of the names on an upcoming 13-song tribute to The Replacements called Let the Bad Times Roll, A Tribute to The Replacements. The compilation will release via Bandcamp on Oct. 20 digitally, followed on vinyl a week later on October 27 via Creep Records.

“December  2022 I was drinking at the Fishtown Tavern and 'Can’t Hardly Wait ' came on the jukebox, and at that moment I knew this tribute to the Mats needed to happen," Arik Victor from Creep Records says in a press release. "The next day, we invited all the bands we love.”

Though we doubt putting the comp together was that simple.

All The Time Is Yours Now
Sell The Heart Records (2022)

With a plodding, building guitar line, a slow drum intro and the opening lyrics of “Light a candle / For the good times gone away,” Goddamnit isn’t subtle of where they’re going on All The Time Is Yours Now. Playing Hot Water Music-style punk, it’s a break-up record steeped in old school emo. While the lyrics are somewhat weighted in a single … Read more

Love At Leeds
Don Giovanni (2022)

Sometimes I dread writing about an artist for the fourth or fifth time. What new thing can I say? Fortunately, Mikey Erg isn’t just prolific -- he mixes it up, a lot. Last time around, I opined that the last two tracks seems to show a new direction and I’m going to argue that ‘90s rock-influenced tone is exactly where things have … Read more

Mikey Erg
Rad Girlfriend Records (2021)

Mikey Erg deserves an honorary degree from somebody. The projects he fronts all have a healing, therapeutic quality, which is something we all need as the calendar flips.Billed as a “return to punk” after doing solo singer-with-a-guitar thing, the self-titled record is a statement that begins with its Clash nod cover. It’s loud and direct. It’s personal in that unique Mikey Erg … Read more
