Sweat returns with the band's second album, a new LP called Love Child, set for release on March 15 on Vitriol Records.

Formed in 2019, the trio of vocalist Tuna Tardugno, guitarist/bassist Justin Smith, and drummer Anthony Rivera, previously released Gotta Give It Up in 2022, followed by a split last year with Negative Blast. Both bands offered some words about split records in a Scene Point Blank feature at the time.

The band's members have also played with Dangers, Graf Orlock, and Dogteeth, and Smith runs Vitriol Records.

The new LP was produced by Jack Shirley, who also plays second guitar on the record, and was recorded at The Atomic Garden.

Gotta Give It Up
Pirates Press (2022)

I’ve had a range of thoughts about this record as I’ve played it on repeat in recent weeks. At first it didn’t really hit me -- it felt too repetitive and didn’t really jump out from the pack. But that changed as I kept coming back. While circle pit hardcore is well established at this point, Sweat’s Gotta Give It Up hits … Read more
