The first Methadones in 15 years

May 30 marked the release of a new 2-song 7" from Chicago pop-punk band The Methadones, the band's first new music in 15 years, available from Red Scare Industries/Stardumb Records.

The band also shared a lyric video for one of the songs, “Love On Layaway, and announced shows in Rotterdam and Chicago this year.

The band last released a self-titled collection in 2010 (Asian Man Records).

The 2025 edition of the band includesSimon Lamb (Screeching Weasel, Dan Vapid and The Cheats, The Riverdales) on guitar.

In Red Scare news, the label shares that Elway expects to release a new album this fall, sharing "Laugh Track" recently.
