Codefendants, a punk trio comprised of Sam King, Ceschi, and Fat Mike, is back with a new 2-song EP, Living Las Vegas. The title track features West Coast alt-rapper 2Mex.
Ceschi gives us some added contact about the collaboration:
When I was in my early twenties, I used to sleep on 2Mex's floor. He is one of my ultimate hip-hop mentors and has now become a friend of Sam's. When we first started Codefendants, it only made sense to invite 2Mex to spit on something we were cooking up since Sam had been a fan of 2Mex's work since the early 2000s.
Years later, Fat Mike would devise a new guitar riff and shift the production's sound beneath the verses we recorded. On some show-off shit, I also believe this is one of the hardest rap verses I've personally ever recorded.
The EP is out today via Bottles to the Ground.
