Spaceships coming in March

Posted in Records on February 18, 2023

Based in South Bend, Indiana, post-gaze band Spaceships is back with a new album called Ruins, out on March 24 on Friend Club Records. Formed in 2013 as a continuation of A Rocket Named Justice, the band has three full-lengths, and EP, and a split with Retrouvé to their name. Pillars, released in 2020, was their most recent record.

The band shares a new single, drawing in help from Ryan Osterman (Holy Fawn).

Says vocalist/guitarist Nat FitzGerald:

“Spillt" was inspired by the fallout of a few friendships that were bruised by careless jokes and flippant comments that I made without considering who might be in the crossfire...Sonically, it was one of the first songs I transferred when I started playing baritone guitar, which helped accentuate the heaviness. I was having a hard time pulling off the scream myself, so we took a chance and reached out to Ryan from Holy Fawn--it paid off.
