From 26 May to 17 June, Sydney Opera House will welcome some an eclectic mix of innovative local and international artists for Vivid LIVE – a celebration of music on the nation's most famous stages – as part of Vivid Sydney, the world’s largest festival of light, music and ideas.

Vivid LIVE is the centrepiece of the Sydney Opera House’s year-round music program. Vivid LIVE celebrates iconic artists in contemporary music with newly commissioned works, world premiere performances, and Sydney only appearances from musical greats within Australia and around the world.

The concept behind Vivid LIVE is to invite the world’s leading artists, creative collectives, promoters and digital animators to raise the roof of Sydney Opera House's theatres, rehearsal spaces, recording studios and its iconic sails, which are transformed into a unique canvas each year for Vivid Sydney. 

Among a myriad of other performances, this year’s incarnation of Vivid LIVE includes Fleet Foxes, Nick Murphy fka Chet Faker presents Missing Link, AIR, The Avalanches - Since I Left You Block Party with special guests DJ Shadow + Briggs + Sampa The Great + Jonti, Richie Hawtin CLOSE, Repressed Records 15th Anniversary feat. Total Control, Severed Heads + more and The Nixon Tapes by John Adams.
