Gregg Turner, known for his work with punk band Angry Samoans, will be touring the Pacific Northwest in late May/Early June. Some dates feature Turner solo while others showcase his current project, The Gregg Turner Group.
The Gregg Turner Group has Turner on guitar/vocals), plus Sarah Meadows (bass/harmony vocals), David Barsanti (drums), and Aaron Anderson (lead guitar). "It's a catchy amalgam of ‘60s garage rock a la Kinks, Velvets and Troggs with a little Tom Lehrer and Allan Sherman sprinkled in. This mix fits well with the ‘60s caveman garage stomp of Shelley Ganz and the storied Unclaimed, the L.A. stalwarts ‘60s psych protagonists who've been in the scene for over four decades," Turner explains.
Turner has two solo records, released in 2013 and 2017, followed by forming The Gregg Turner Group in 2020.
