SPB: What is your favorite record store (this can be local or not)?
Siebe: I want to preface this by mentioning that I rarely buy records at stores these days. Most of the local stores aren't big on pop-punk/skate punk/emo and it's rare that they carry records I'm looking for. And while I could ask the stores to order the records I want to buy, I usually omit the middleman and buy records at shows or order from the bands or record labels directly.
That being said, my favorite record store is undoubtedly Banquet Records in Kingston Upon Thames (UK). Banquet is a record store that carries a torch for pop punk and emo in a way that feels unparalleled in Europe. They often have exclusive vinyl variants available and run their own record label to support bands they love and improve availability of those records in the UK and Europe. My absolute favorite thing about ordering from them used to be the personalized, handwritten notes that would come with every order and that would recommend artists I might like as well. I've stopped ordering from the UK in general because of one too many issues with packages getting lost or stuck in customs, but whenever I'm in the London area I make an effort to visit the shop and grab a couple of records.
