SPB: Do you run your own website, facebook, twitter, etc. Do you enjoy that side of the industry?
Houseplant: Yes, I do run all of those things. I would say they're necessary and I try to find some enjoyment in them when I can, but generally, no, I don't enjoy that aspect of releasing music. I like to be in touch with people, interact, and get feedback through social media but don't like the confines of each format. I actually do like the simplicity of Twitter quite a bit, but often feel like I'm talking to myself on there. A web site is nice because you can make it look and function how you like, but they get less traffic and there is less interaction. Also, they are cumbersome to maintain and redesign.
