The National Announce New Album and 2023 Tour Plans

The National will release their new album, First Two Pages of Frankenstein, on April 28th via 4AD. You can stream their new track, "Tropical Morning News" now and check out the lyric video below:

The new track was co-written between lead singer, Matt Berninger and his wife, Carin Besser. Berninger comments:

The idea of referring to the darkness of the news in such a light way unlocked something in me. It became a song about having a hard time expressing yourself, and trying to connect with someone when the noise of the world is drowning out any potential for conversation.

The band will be heading out US and UK/EU tours this Summer with support from Soccer Mommy, The Beths, and Bartees Strange on select dates, including a special show at New York's Madison Square Garden with Patti Smith and her band. Dates below:
