Blind Adam and the Federal League punkify "All Your Favorite Bands"

Posted in MP3s on April 24, 2022

Currently on tour with Bouncing Souls and Pkew Pkew Pkew, Chicago punk band Blind Adam and the Federal League has shared a new single: a cover of Dawes' "All Your Favorite Bands."

Ringleader Adam Gogola says:

The song ‘All Your Favorite Bands’ by Dawes became one of my favorite songs over the past few years. I was missing friends, going to shows, and being on the road - hoping we would get back to it someday. We delayed the release of our last album, "An Act of Desperation," in the wake of Covid-19 to focus on mutual aid and solidarity with the uprisings that broke out in response to the murder of George Floyd by the Minneapolis Police. We weren’t sure what 2022 was going to look like as a band, since our planned shows had been canceled, so when we got the offer to support The Bouncing Souls on this tour — we kind of joked about turning ‘All Your Favorite Bands’ into a punk rock song as a tribute to everyone we have connected with through music over the years.

Following said delay, An Act Of Desperation, produced and engineered by Chris #2 Barker (Anti-Flag) released last year.

The band is playing the final of 3 consecutive dates at Beat Kitchen in Chicago tonight, then heading east to Detroit on Tuesday.

Gogola has a long-established relationship with Bouncing Souls, adding:

The Bouncing Souls really put the wind back in our sails. We weren’t sure what we were going to be able to do as a band in 2022; we don’t have a booking agent, and it was hard to know when to start booking shows during the Omicron wave. They have been one of our favorite bands since we were kids, and have been super supportive of all my bands over the years. The nickname ‘Blind Adam’ was actually given to me by Bryan Kienlen, the bassist of the Bouncing Souls.
