Billy Howerdel solo (A Perfect Circle)

Posted in Records on May 3, 2022

A Perfect Circle's Billy Howerdel will release his solo debut, What Normal Was, this June 10 via Alchemy Recordings/Rise Records/BMG. Howderdel is a co-founder and guitarist in the aforementioned group, now spreading his own wings on a new 10-song, self-produced collection.

“This is me stepping back into my early teen self and making the record I would’ve made if I had the means and the knowledge when I first picked up a guitar--just in 2022,” Howerdel says in a statement. “It’s that moment as a kid when you hear a record, close your eyes, and go somewhere else. That was the time I found my lane, so to speak.”

Following its release, Howerdel hits the road for a 6-week summer tour, including  a stop at Milwaukee's Summerfest which also features Puscifer.
