Converge went big on their upcoming new album, Bloodmoon: I.
Considered a collaborative piece, it features the 4-person Converge lineup, but also Chelsea Wolfe, bandmate and writing partner Ben Chisholm, plus Stephen Brodsky (Cave In).Like many collaborations in recent years, the original story goes back to Roadburn festival (2016), where this lineup performed revised Converge songs under the title of Blood Moon. It spawned the bigger idea, but scheduled delayed writing until 2019, followed by recording remotely in 2020. Listen to the title track here.
The album is available on cd and digital platforms on Nov. 19 (Epitaph) with vinyl coming next June 24 (Deathwish).
