Phife Dawg reportedly passes away

A Tribe Called Quest's Phife Dawg reportedly died at the age of 45. Self-dubbed as "the Funky Diabetic," Phife has been battling health issues, including diabetes, for several years and received a kidney transplant in 2008.

Born Malik Isaac Taylor in 1970, he is a founding member of the seminal hip-hop group that formed in 1985 and released five albums.
