August Burns Red to record live CD/DVD

Posted in Bands on April 15, 2010

Official press release: August Burns Red have conquered nearly everything that has come before them, creating three captivating albums and laying waste to an army of imitators in the process. As the band's album sales figures near the quarter-million mark (241,000+ and counting) - spearheaded by 2009's Constellations, an album that bowed at #24 on the Billboard Top 200 - ABR look to conquer yet another frontier: the live album/DVD. The band will be performing at hometown (Lancaster, PA) venue Warehouse 54 on June 4th, with the concert being recorded and filmed for a live CD/DVD to be released later this year through longtime label home Solid State Records. "We're stoked to have an opportunity to release a live album and DVD, and it only makes it better that we'll be able to do so in our hometown in front of the people that have been behind us since the beginning," explains guitarist JB Brubaker. "Even though this is a hometown show for us," continues Brubaker, "we encourage anyone who wants to travel to come, see how we get down at home, and be a part of this DVD!"
