Sibiir and "Placid Waters"

Posted in Records on March 5, 2024

Sibiir will soon release album 3, coming on May 14 on Fysisk Format under the name Undergang. The Norwegian blackened hardcore band also has a new song, out now and shared below, "Placid Waters."

Says the band:

It’s a song about how kids are struggling to meet the expectations society place on them, and their attempt to tame their own chaos in search for placid waters. It contains all the classic Sibiir-elements from blast beats to big atmospheric half-time parts, but it also shows a new and fresh side of Sibiir. The melodic sing-along friendly call and response chorus makes me want to drive too fast, or drink too many beers. Perfect for Wacken, really.

Formed in 2014, members have also played with Sigh & Explode, Jack Dalton, Do You Love Melena? and Call:Vega.
