Energy Leave Bridge Nine and Plan Lots of Free Music

Posted in Bands on April 27, 2011

Energy announced this morning that they have walked away from Bridge Nine. They've stated that what the future holds for Energy are constant free digital singles with the occasional vinyl release after 12 songs or so are released. Hit the jump to read their full statement.

After releasing 1 full length album (Invasions Of The Mind), and 2 E.P.'s (Race The Sun, Walk Into The Fire) with them, we have officially parted ways with Bridge 9 Records. This means that we are free agents, and are running this band entirely on our own now. We are not opposed to doing one off releases with labels if the circumstances are right, but we have other plans for releasing music now. Our plans are continuing to release digital singles (maybe E.P.'s too) every few months or so, as opposed to releasing a new full length album every 2 or 3 years. This way everyone gets to hear new material from us at a faster rate. All of these digital singles/E.P.'s will be available to download for free because let's face it: if you're releasing music in this day and age - it's free whether you're charging for it or not. Every 12 songs or so we might try to press a 12" for those of you who still enjoy collecting physical music, but for the most part our primary focus is to be giving you free music as often as possible from now on. ~ Tank
