Middle-Aged Queers: new song, more new soon

Middle-Aged Queers celebrated Valentine's Day with a new single, "Glizzies Bangin," the first single from their next album, which will be called Theatre of Shame, out via Sell The Heart / Engineer Records in the near future.

As for the single with the distinct name, the band says:

It started off at a show in Sacramento with a pair of friends in coordinated hot dog and mustard costumes, joined by a spattering of young people in clown makeup. A local tradition, perhaps? No. The phenomena followed us from coast to coast. And while the occasional banana or other food costume will make an appearance, a hot dog in the pit seems to be the most frequent sighting. We have no idea why. We prefer it to remain a mystery.

Theatre of Shame
Engineer Records, Sell The Heart Records (2025)

Theatre Of Shame is the third LP from Bay Area band Middle-Aged Queers, a band whose moniker definitely gives away the plot. The band celebrates community with party punk songs like "Glizzies Banging" and "Pajama Party," but it also has pointed political commentary about the dangers of a bigoted society. In equal parts, Theatre Of Shame is about celebration and … Read more

The first time I saw Engineer was when they opened for fellow New Yorkers Another Breath. From then on I was a fan, no question. For those of you unfamiliar, … Read more
