Melvins going for Guinness Record

The Melvins have announced an ambitious tour that seeks the Guinness World Record for "first band to tour all 50 states + Washington, DC in 51 days." The tour begins in Anchorage, AK and ends in Honolulu, HI. The tour comes in the form of Melvins Lite and will be the first time the band has played in Alaska, New Hampshire, Delaware, and Hawaii in their nearly 30-year career.

"We figured it was time for us to do something REALLY crazy," said vocalist Buzz Osborne.

The Melvins Lite recently released Freak Puke. All 51 tour dates are below, along with dates for their preceding Canadian tour with Retox.
