Count Your Lucky Stars label has just added a new artist to the label, the duo Ben & Keely, featuring Ben Curttright (The Goalie's Anxiety at the Penalty Kick). The band will release their label debut on May 26, The Tell-Tale Party Noise. The project began in May 2022 following a relocation to Omaha, NE.
Says the label: "This album is a lo-fi indie bedroom rock project that feels like a living document of day in the life of two 30-somethings trying to find space in the world and are in the process of figuring it out. It's intimate, it's acoustic, it's full of unconventional instruments and could be a soundtrack to your newest favorite indie film." It releases on cassette and digitally.
In other label news, Thank You, I'm Sorry has a new record coming this fall called Growing in Strange Places. While the record is still being finalized, the band shares a new single now (below), "Chronically Online." They will be touring the US this month.
Last month, the label released In The Dark, a full band solo project by Star Funeral (Nikki Esposito).
