Tom Waits' "mid-period" Island Records studio catalog will soon be remastered from the original tapes and reissued on vinyl, cd, and digitally. pecifically, Swordfishtrombones, Rain Dogs, and Franks Wild Years will be released on Sept. 1, later followed on Oct. 6 with the re-releases of Bone Machine and The Black Rider, courtesy of Island/UMe. All five albums are streaming now.
The remasters cover Waits' career from 1983-1993, and were overseen personally by Waits and Kathleen Brennan.
