Live Obits record

Posted in Records on June 29, 2021

Obits, who released three records on Sub Pop between 2009 and 2013, has announced a live record scheduled for release on July 30 on Outer Batter Records.

Titled Die at the Zoo, the album was recorded live in Brisbane, Australia, in 2012.

The band featured Rick Froberg (Hot Snakes, Drive Like Jehu), Sohrab Habibion (Edsel), and more.

“If you know our band and went to one of our shows, this will sound familiar. If we’re new to you, but you have equal amounts of affection for AC/DC and CCR as you do Wire and The Wipers, then together we shall set the dingoes free,” Habibion says of the recording.

BrooklynVegan has shared a single, "Widow of My Dreams."
