Brontez Purnell Trio goes gospel?

Brontez Purnell Trio released a new 7" today, “Forgive Me, Philip” b/w "If You Can't Help Me." In addition to the 7", a new video debuted for the b-side, “If You Can’t Help Me,” which is the trio putting their own spin on a gospel standard.

Namesake Brontez Purnell has previously played with The Social Lies, Gravy Train!!!, and The Younger Lover's, as well as authoring 7 books, most recently Ten Bridges I've Burnt: A Memoir in Verse.
