New Found Glory Parts With Geffen

New Found Glory has parted was with Geffen Records. The band released their latest full-length, Coming Home, last year with the label. The band will be returning to their former home, Drive-Thru Records, to release From the Screen to Your Stereo Part 2 this Fall. The album is the follow-up to the 2000 release. Platinum selling artist New Found Glory has amicably parted ways with Geffen Records after 7 years with the label. New Found Gloryreleased five albums with Geffen Records including the gold selling albums, Sticks And Stones, New Found Glory (ST), and Catalyst. Geffen “up-streamed” New Found Glory from Drive-Thru Records in 2000. Speaking on behalf of the band, guitarist Chad Gilbert expressed the group’s gratitude and enormous appreciation for the fantastic years the band spent with Geffen. He also said, “that the band is really excited about the future.” In addition to splitting from Geffen, New Found Glory has also parted ways with Rick DeVoe Management. Gilbert states that “the band and management have split on good terms. We’re very grateful for everything Rick and his staff have done for us.” New Found Glory has returned to Drive-Thru Records for their next release, From The Screen To Your Stereo Part 2. Out this fall, From The Screen To Your Stereo Part 2 is a collection of theme songs from classic movies covered by the band and features cameos by artists who are friends of New Found Glory . The full-length release is a follow-up to the 2000 EP From The Screen To Your Stereo, which has sold more than 273K copies to date. In regards to From The Screen To Your Stereo Part 2 Richard Reines, co-owner of Drive-Thru Records says, “Even when New Found Glory were picked up by Geffen we always remained great friends with them, and to be working with them again is something we always hoped would happen." New Found Glory will release a new album on a TBD label in 2008.
