Periphery on tour with Circles and Polaris

Posted in Tours on January 31, 2017

Six piece progressive metal juggernaut, Periphery are currently causing havoc down under in support of their new album Periphery III: Select Difficulty. With their signature triple-guitar attack, which lends their oeuvre a particular rhythmic dexterity, mathematical cacophony and complex grooves, the intertwined conceptual albums provide a solid canon of modern metal. With their distinctive high-gain fuelled by extensive use of overdrive pedals, virtuoso soloing, distorted, palm-muted, low-pitch guitar sound reminiscent of Meshuggah and SikTH, Periphery have become one of the spearheads of what has become known as the djent genre.

Periphery will be supported by Melbournians Circles and South Sydney metalcore quintet Polaris, who have built up a reputation on the road for the last two years as one of the most exciting upcoming live acts in the Australian heavy scene.
