808: documentary on Roland drum machine

You Know Films/Atlantic Films have pairied up for the documentary 808, a film about the origins of the Rolant TR-808 drum machine and its effects on the music industry.

The film is directed by Alexander Dunn and includes contributions from Afrika Bambaataa, Questlove, Rick Rubin, Diplo, Fatboy Slim, Phil Collins, and more.

It will release in 2015. In the meantime, watch the trailer after the jump.
