The Gamits Sign To Paper + Plastic

Posted in Labels on July 29, 2010

The upcoming Gamits reunion LP has been given a new title. Originally reported as The Halves and Half Knots, the new album will now be titled Parts and is expected out in October. Also different is that the LP will now be a joint release between Suburban Home Records and Paper and Plastick. P+P owner Vinnie Fiorello had this to say about the band: ".. Antidote came out and it caused a tidal wave in my music collection. It eclipsed every other cd in its way – I fell in love with the band all over again – it took all the hooks from their previous records and mixed it with tension and depression- all the things mixing in my head at the time. The Gamits always have been a gem among the music i own and when I had the chance to help out with the new record, how could I not jump at the chance to work with a band that has been my soundtrack…" Once out, Parts will be the Gamits' first new material since 2004's Antidote.
