Tool Bassist To Guest On New Intronaut Album

Posted in Bands on July 22, 2010

Intronaut are nearly done work on their new album “Valley Of Smoke” which is set for a fall release through Century Media. In addition, the band have recruited Tool bassist Justin Chancellor to guest on a track. Speaking on the effort, band frontman/guitarist Sacha Dunable offered the following:

Intronaut is beyond stoked to get back out on the road and play some shows with our buddies in Cynic and Dysrhythmia. If you live near any of these cities, be sure to come out! We’ll be playing a few songs off our new record, and I could only assume that the other two bands are going to blow your socks off. Speaking of the new record, it’s just about done. It’s been quite exhausting fine-tuning everything, but it’s paid off.

Josh Newell is killing it on the production side of things even while bogged down with some more lucrative projects, and we were lucky enough to have this guy Justin (from some band I won’t name drop, but will say that it rhymes with ‘Cool’) come in and co-write/perform on a song with us where we have two drummers and two bassists going at once. That’s right folks, pure excess.

Other than that, this record rules so much that I’m literally embarrassed to have been a part of everything we’ve done up until now. Not to sound pretentious, but this is absolutely the best music ever made.”

In other news, a handful of dates have been added to the groups upcoming run with Cynic and Dysrhythmia, here’s how the schedule now runs:
