Flatspot adds a touch of "Bangkok Evilcore" to the roster

Posted in Labels on October 16, 2024

Today, Flatspot Records announced the singing of Whispers, a Thailand-based hardcore band who will release the EP Yom-Ma-Lok on Dec. 13 on the label.

Calling themselves “Bangkok Evilcore,” the metallic hardcore band shared a new single too: "Retribution." Vocalist Nitisart “Mike” Chaiburi explains:

The main idea of writing this song came from my own belief that In the end, we cannot escape the consequences of the karma that we have done unjustly to each other. Even if you are big in the sky or have a lot of power, fame, and money, you cannot use those things to wash away your sins or replace the things you have done wrong to the hearts of others. We see this kind of thing continually in every social context without exception because we believe that even though we are just small humans, we have enormous desires. So we look for and want to rely on others for help anyway. In order for these people to not feel alone and discouraged, I have come to spread their frustration.

The band will join the Flatspot World European tour with Speed, End It, Life’s Question, Silver, and Mortal Form this month.
