Peter Murphy recently had to cancel a New York, NY performance at Le Poisson Rouge on August 13 due to a medical emergency, which was announced the next day to be due to suffering a heart attack.
The emergency interruped what was a planned residency, but the artist's spokespeople promise replacement dates in the future -- still to be announced.
"All of us at LPR are devastated by this news. Peter’s performance and presence over the past twelve days has been amazing - both onstage and off. We wish Peter a swift and full recovery and look forward to his successful return to LPR," his family said in a public statement following the procedure.
