SPB premiere: "Like A Bull" by Kait Eldridge

Known for her work in Big Eyes and Cheeky, Kait Eldridge is back with her second solo album, out next month on Nov. 7. The record is to be titled Very Special People and will release via Lets Pretend Records.

While the album title makes it sound uplifting, we have a surprise for you:

"Here's more sad songs from yours truly," Eldridge says of the new collection.

Very Special People draws inspiration from 1990s singer-songwriter sensibilities (think Elliott Smith) while intertwining that vulnerability with the more potent power-pop sound of Big Eyes. You’ll get those influences clearly, but also chamber pop, baroque interludes, and atmospheric synths within the wider sound. 

The record was written and recorded during the COVID pandemic and follows Eldridge’s solo debut, The Dark Tower concept album.
