The BellRays cover The Temptations, announce dates with Social Distortion

Posted in Bands on May 22, 2023

Blues-punk band The BellRays has announced a new 2-song 7" called Call Of Confusion, set for release on June 3 just before the band hits the road with Social Distortion. The album will release via I-94 Recordings.

Formed in 1990 and based in Riverside, VA, the new recording is #8 in a series of Detroit covers from I-94 Recordings, taking on a 1970's classic originally by The Temptations.

“We were amazed at how timely and current this song still was. So much of the original lyric content was unfortunately still relevant in America like racial tensions and political ineptitude” Lisa Kekaula says of the song, adding, "“We wanted to bring it into a little more modern focus with the mention of the housing crisis, opioids, gas prices and active shooters. It is our way of building a bridge back to the original intent of the song.”
