SPB premiere: Star Pillar - Celestial Textures

Posted in Records on May 31, 2023

Set to release in early June, Scene Point Blank is pleased to share a full stream of Celestial Textures: A Journal of Improvised Energy by Star Pillar aka Will Killingsworth (also of Dead Air, Ampere, and more) and Randy Patrick (Death to Tyrants).

The ambient project takes an atmospheric approach with subtle but unmistakable mood shifts throughout, meant as an escape from the challenges we face in our daily lives today. It's calm, thoughtful and measured -- mood music with a human element, that explores minimal ambient music with a unique infusion of experimental guitar, sometimes explorative and at other points emotional.

The band adds: "We invite the listener to join us, either in the background or foreground, while working or while resting, alone or among kindred spirits. Allow the sonic landscape to drift by as your own journey unfolds."

Listen here:

The album will release on June 9 via Midnight Werewolf Records.
