The Melvins and Boris will blow up your ear drums soon

Posted in Tours on June 6, 2023

Two of the loudest bands going have announced a co-headlining tour this summer. The "Twins of Evil Tour" will feature Boris and The Melvins, including The Melvins playing their Bullhead album in its entirety as the record hits its 40th anniversary. Boris will also celebrate their catalog, playing Heavy Rocks throughout the tour.

Heavy Rocks was originally only released in Japan in 2002, with Third Man Records reissuing it globally on LP, cd, and digital formats (out August 18 digitally and Sept. 8 on physical formats.

“Could anyone have predicted such an astonishing event, that Boris and the Melvins would tour the entire USA together? Since the mid-1980s, the Melvins have had an enormous influence on artists of all genres not only limited to heavy music, and have brought forth a surge of faithful followers over the years. Needless to say, Boris is just one of these many bands influenced by the mighty Melvins, and we took our name from a song title off of the 1991 album, Bullhead,” Takeshi of Boris adds via press release.
