SPB premiere: "I'm in Love With (Judging) You" by Hotel Etiquette

Hotel Etiquette, the solo project from Mike Hansen (Pentimento), has a new EP coming at the end of the month called Ex Songs, a follow-up to the Sex Songs EP (2020).

“What was supposed to be a quarantine inspired bedroom lo-fi project turned into something a little more...dramatic,” Hansen says of the project’s originals and how it’s developed. Like everyone else, the twists and turns of the past year and gone in some unexpected places.

With Ex Songs set for release via Triple Hammer Records, SPB is excited to premiere a brand new song and video titled “I’m in Love With (Judging) You,” a melodic, melodramatic pop-song with soaring highs and roaring lows.

“’I'm In Love With (Judging) You’ is a song about our contrived and beautiful relationship with the internet, the mirror, and trying to figure the difference between the two,” Hansen explains.
