The Mess by Sunshine State

Posted in Records on April 14, 2020

Gainesville, FL-based Sunshine State, a quartet featuring former members of Against Me!, Whiskey & Co, J. Page, and The Scaries, has self-released its second album.

"Finally, 3 or so years later...after a self-imploding record label, getting jerked around (for 2+ years) by a separate garbage fire of a record label, and lots of beers / late nights... we're releasing our 2nd album" the band announced in a press release today. "Given the current circumstances in the world, we've decided to just give it away for free with the hope that maybe it will brighten someone's day, week, month, year...or however long this craziness ends up lasting." It's available now from Bandcamp on the pay-what-you-want price scheme, and SPB has an embed below for those who want to test drive it first.

The Mess will also be available on various streaming services. Sunshine State previously released Pour in 2014 (No Idea Records).
