New Shoegazey Cover of The Psychedelic Furs's "Love My Way"

Posted in MP3s on December 2, 2015

One of the tunes I always looked forward to on the in-game radio of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was The Psychedelic Furs's woozy "Love My Way."  Originally released in 1982, the song has been covered numerous times in the years since by bands ranging from Mineral and The Polyphonic Spree to the infamous AxCx, but I'm inclined to call Delaware musician Grace Vonderkuhn's newly released version one of the best.

Heading deep into fuzz rock territory, Vonderkuhn's slightly gloomy interpretation accentuates a mixture of new wave and shoegaze elements that may as well have been lurking in the song in the first place.  Give it a listen at Cover Me.
